CHRIST THE KING: A Reflection Today’s Gospel shows Jesus as a very different kind of king. Instead of a throne, He is on the cross; instead of praise, He receives mockery. Yet it is here that His true kingship is revealed: through love, mercy, and forgiveness. One of the criminals beside Jesus turns to Him with a simple, trusting prayer: “Jesus, remember me.” And Jesus responds with compassion and hope. Christ the King does not rule with power or force, but with a love that never ends. May we welcome His kingship into our lives and choose, like the good thief, to turn to Him with trust. By Christel Casse, (Lay Pastoral Assistant)

STANDING FIRM IN FAITH In today’s gospel, Jesus reminds His followers that faith is not about comfort or certainty, but perseverance and trust. Even when the world feels uncertain or our lives are shaken, we are called to stand firm in His truth. God never abandons us in times of trial. He strengthens us to witness His love with courage and hope. True discipleship means trusting that, through every challenge, His grace will see us through.Reflection by Christel Casse (Lay Pastoral Assistant)

REFLECTION: Make Space for God by Christel Casse. In this Sunday’s Gospel, Jesus drives the money changers out of the Temple, reminding us that God’s house is a place of prayer, not profit. His passionate defence of the sacred space challenges us to look inward: how do we keep our own “inner temple,” our hearts open and pure for God’s presence? As we move through our daily routines, it’s easy for clutter to build up; worries, distractions, or habits that draw us away from prayer. Jesus’ cleansing of the Temple invites us to let Him gently clear away whatever keeps us from truly welcoming Him in.

ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT: Saturdays from 11.30am to 12 Noon.

SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION is available after weekday Mass and during Adoration on Saturdays.
