A HUGE THANK YOU to all who attended last Thursday’s Open Parish Meeting or who sent apologies. There was a great turn out and many helpful ideas for the future were shared. I will produce a full report for you all in the coming week which will be available on the parish website and hard copies will be available from the table in the porch.

PARISH FLOWER FESTIVAL: Do spread the news about our Flower Festival which will take place over the weekend of 25/26 June from 12pm-4pm and (if you haven’t already) make a note in your diary. The festival will celebrate Parish life in flower displays created by our own Flower Ladies and supported by the Catenians. There will be refreshments available, children’s activities and Gardeners Question time. We would welcome any donations towards the flowers; please hand them in to Fr David or post through the presbytery letterbox.

ST VINCENT’S LADIES GROUP: Please note the next Coffee Morning and Cake Sale will be on Friday, 10 June owing to the Bank Holiday this week.

THE FEAST OF THE ASCENSION is this Thursday and is a Holy Day of Obligation. There will be a Vigil Mass at 7pm on Wednesday evening; and on Thursday 9.30am Mass in school and 12 Noon in church.

THE FINAL MEETING for parents of children making their first Holy Communion will be this Tuesday at 7.15pm in the Church Hall.

MAYOR’S THANKSGIVING SERVICE: Cllr Stewart Gardiner, will conclude his term as Mayor with a Thanksgiving Service here at St Vincent’s next Sunday, 8 May at 3pm. All parishioners are welcome to join us for the service. Refreshments will be provided in the Hall after the Service.
