GOOD FRIDAY is a day of fasting and abstinence. There will be a collection during the Celebration of the Lord’s Passion to support the Christian Community in the Holy Land.

WALKING WITH JESUS: The Knutsford churches are planning a walk of witness through the town on Good Friday, 3 April beginning here at 11.45am and finishing at St Cross. Along the way we will commemorate the events of Jesus’s final journey to Calvary with the dramatization of his Crucifixion on the Moor. Please come and walk with Jesus and give witness to his act of total love for all people.

EASTER OFFERING: Your offering next weekend is the traditional Easter Offering to Father David.

ST VINCENTS PRE-SCHOOL: Due to increased numbers, if you have a child due to start pre-school before September 2027, please contact the Setting for an Expression of Interest form.

NEW OFFERTORY ENVELOPES are available for collection from the porch. If you are a taxpayer, please consider joining the Gift Aid Scheme by using envelopes or paying by standing order and completing a Gift Aid form, we can then claim the tax you have paid on your offering from HMRC. PREPARING FOR HOLY WEEK AND EASTER: To help us prepare for these great feasts there will be a service of Penance and Reconciliation with the opportunity for individual confession on Friday, 27 March at 7pm.

LENTEN RECOLLECTION Thursday 26th March at 7:30 pm in the church. The recollection will be run by Fr. Michael Lowenthal and provides an opportunity for you to spend some time to reflect on the meaning of Lent and Easter. Everyone who has attended previous recollections with Fr. Michael found them both enjoyable and spiritually uplifting. There will be refreshments available once the recollection has finished (cheese, ham, bread, coffee/tea/wine) – a donation is requested to help us cover costs. If you wish to attend please send an email to: events@knutsford.p17catenians.org (or tell Stuart Jones) this will help us to cater for the right number of people.  Organised by Knutsford Catenians.

CAFOD FAMILY FAST DAY: We raised a total of £881.10. Thank you so much for your generosity.

THANK YOU. The March Ladies Coffee Morning raised £210 for CAFOD. Please note there is no Coffee Morning in April due to Easter. We will resume in May.

CONFIRMATION: Bishop Mark will celebrate Confirmation at St Vincent’s on 17th June. The programme of preparation will begin with a meeting for parents and candidates at 7pm on Thursday 30 April and then an all-day session for candidates on Saturday, 9 May beginning at 10am in St Vincent’s Parish Hall. Anyone in Year 8 or upwards (who is a baptised Catholic) is welcome to join the group. Registration forms can be obtained from Father David.

MASS IN SCHOOL is on Tuesday 3rd March at 9.15am. All are welcome.

WORLD DAY OF PRAYER: The annual ecumenical service, prepared by a group of Christian women from Nigeria, is being held at 1.30pm on Friday, 6th March, at Brook Street Chapel, Adams Hill, WA16 8DY. As we take part in this service, we join a great wave of prayer across the world.

LADIES COFFEE MORNING: The next coffee morning and cake sale will be held on Friday 6th March after 9.30 Mass until 11.30. Proceeds to CAFOD. We welcome your support.

THANK YOU for the very generous response to the SVP request for donations to support the homeless (note the donation window is now closed). The Homeless Centre Manager was immensely grateful for all items donated and will ensure they benefit the homeless and disadvantaged that they serve.
