SVP APPEAL: Can you donate any old foreign coins or notes to support the SVP Children’s Holiday Camps for those families living in poverty that cannot afford a holiday. Please place them in the containers provided in the porch.

PRE SCHOOL SEPTEMBER 2024 INTAKE: There is still time to book your little ones into our Pre-school for the September intake. We are open from 9.00am until 3.15pm. Please get in touch to discuss your needs and find out more about availability! We also have a Breakfast from 7.30am and After school Club till 6.00pm. MANY THANKS for your generosity in last week’s collection for Stella Maris which raised £469.34 to support seafarers.

NATIONAL EUCHARISTIC CONGRESS on Saturday, 14 September at St Mary’s Oscott in Birmingham. Details of programme are on a poster in the porch. If you would like to enter the ballot for tickets as part of our diocesan representation, please give your names to Fr David by 21 July.

FROM FR JOHN: “I am so very grateful to you for your greetings and hospitality last Sunday marking the occasion of my Golden Jubilee of Ordination. It was so lovely to see all those familiar faces and it brought back so many wonderful memories. I would also like to express my thanks to Fr David Long for his kindness and welcome. St Vincent’s will always have a very special place in my affections and I will not forget you.! – Fr John Joyce.

GOLDEN JUBILEE: Today Fr John celebrates the Golden Jubilee of his ordination to the priesthood and will preside at the 11am Mass. Afterwards there will be a chance to meet with Fr John for cake and refreshments in the hall.

RETIRING COLLECTION today for Stella Maris, The Apostleship of the Sea, that cares for seafarers. Envelopes are available in the porch for those who would like to Gift Aid.

GOLDEN JUBILEE: Next Sunday, 14 July, Fr John will celebrate the Golden Jubilee of his ordination to the priesthood and will preside at the 11am Mass. Afterwards there will be a chance to meet with Fr John for cake and refreshments in the hall.

THE LADIES GROUP will be holding their Summer Lunch on Tuesday 16th July at 1 pm in the church hall. If you would like to come, please sign on the list on the church notice board in the porch. The cost will be £10 including a glass of wine or soft drink (Cash would be preferred). Payment can be made to Andrea Ross beforehand or on the day.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED AT ST VINCENT’S PRIMARY SCHOOL: Could you spare 2-3 hours a week? Our primary school is looking for volunteers who could come into school one morning or one afternoon a week on a regular basis to listen to children read on a 1:1 basis. If this is something you would like to do, please email Mrs Davies at gdavies@stvincents.cheshire.sch.uk or call school on 01565 633637.

SHORT RAMBLE AND PUB LUNCH: Come and explore the Macclesfield countryside with the Knutsford Catenians. All are welcome. A short 5km (3.5 miles) ramble on Saturday 13th July starting at 12pm from Church House Sutton, Church Ln, Sutton, Macclesfield SK11 0DS. It is an easy circular walk and lunch will be served at the same pub from 2 pm. If the walk is not for you can still join us for lunch.Please email events@knutsford.p17catenians.org (or tell Stuart Jones) to let us know you are coming.
