REFLECTION by Christel Casse (Lay Pastoral Assistant) Salt and Light: Small Acts That Change the World. Jesus tells us that we are salt and light, small things that make a big difference. Salt gives flavour and stops food from going bad. In the same way, our kindness, honesty, and courage can make the world better, even in quiet ways. Light helps people see where they are going. When we choose to love, forgive, and help others, we shine God’s light so people can find hope. Jesus reminds us that we don’t shine to show off, but so that others may see goodness and thank God. Each time we do something loving, we help light up the world, exactly as God planned.

REFLECTION: A Different Kind of Happiness by Christel Casse, Lay Pastoral Assistant In the Beatitudes, Jesus reveals a different vision of happiness, rooted in trust in God, mercy, and faithfulness. He reminds us that God is close to those who suffer for what is right and that the values of the Kingdom lead to true and lasting joy.
