PREPARING THE WAY In Matthew 3:1–12, John the Baptist stands in the wilderness calling God’s people to wakefulness and renewal. His message is bold but deeply hopeful: God is drawing near, and we are invited to make room in our hearts. John reminds us that genuine faith is shown not only in words but in the fruit our lives bear: compassion, justice, mercy, and integrity. As we journey through Advent, may we hear John’s voice anew and allow God to shape us into people who make His presence visible in the world. By Christel Casse.
