The parish has a wide range of activities and provides opportunities for all, young or old, to get involved in parish life. There are contact details for each of them.

Justice & Peace - The Parish supports the Catholic International Funding agency through a variety of charitable means. Links to Cafod can be made by clicking on the following:

THE CHOIR - David Tredwell

the choir sings at the 9.00 a.m. Sunday Masses, and on request for other occasions such as weddings and funerals. Rehearsals are usually on Wednesdays after the 7.00 p.m. Mass.

THE MUSIC GROUP - John Galligan

A small group of singers and guitarists who accompany the 11.00 a.m. Sunday Masses.

SPECIAL MINISTERS & READERS -  There is always opportunity for more Readers, especially for the Sunday evening Mass. Parish Co-ordinator - Frank Sharkey. It would be a welcome attition to the Liturgy if a number of young people could be added to the regular rota of Readers.

BAPTISM GROUP - co-ordinator - Jan Armstrong.  Some preparation is normally available to families prior to the Baptism in order to assist with the celebration of the Liturgy. The group also supports the annual Mass of celebration for families who have had a baptism during the previous 12 months. See also Baptisms & Weddings page

CONFIRMATION -  Candidates for the Parish programme begin their preparation after Christmas concluding with the LPA Celebration of the Sacrament in one of the four Churches of the area, usually during the month of June. This year the celebration takes place in our own Church. Parish Catechists - Christine Galligan, Michael Harrison, Maura Welch and Andrea Ross.

ST. VINCENT DE PAUL (SVP) - Visits to the sick and housebound, help for the needy; support for overseas students. A small group of brothers and sisters. If you wish to join us in our work, please get in touch.

LADIES GROUP - Involved in a variety of activities to raise money for the Parish. Jumble sales, coffee mornings, bring and buy etc.

The coffee mornings, held on the first Friday of the month, have to date raised over £7,000 for CAFOD.

PRAYER GROUP - Sheila McCallum telephone: 01565 653624. The group meets on Thursdays at 10.30 a.m.

R.C.I.A. - This is the normal means whereby a person seeks entrance into the Church. The parish programme runs from September through till Easter. Principle Parish Catechists - John & Sheila Flynn - e-mail: pjflynn@lineone.net

CHILDREN'S LITURGY - Children have their own reflections on the Liturgy of the Word each Sunday at 9.00am Mass, and occasionally at 11.00am. They process out from the congregation following the Introduction and rejoin for the Offertory. Parish co-ordinator: Christine Galligan

PRE-SCHOOL GROUP - Cath Davies

MUMS AND TODDLERS - The group meets on Wednesday mornings during term time between 10.00 - 11.30 a.m. Contact Sara Dawson on 01565 754584 for details. A second group meets on Fridays at the same times and the contacts are Fiona O'Donnell (01565-733206) or Maria Cooper (01565-873457).

SOCIAL COMMITTEE - Under the chairmanship of Mr David Perls, this group assists with the planning and preparation of Parish Social activities, including the Christmas Fair, a long-established event in the Knutsford Social Calendar. In recent years, a Summer Garden Party has been added to the calendar.
